People tend to expect other people's thoughts and actions to be the same as theirs. Should that be the right thing to do?
People believe they know others very well and they can tell what others are thinking and why they are thinking in that way. Can people read other people's minds in order to tell exaclty what others are thinking? If not, then?

People rarely get to know other people so well as to predict their actions and thoughts. It happens though that you have a pattern in one's behaviour that you belive he or she is following and you expect them to react in that certain way.
This is a bit tricky, as it means putting people in some frames, falling back in the comfort zone and stopping to try and explore the diveristy in others' characters.
For me one of the greatest feelings is to have the chance to get to know the very many faces that a person has...But it usually requires a lot of courage, time and effort of both sides...and, frankly, I think a lot of people just give it up as they do not have the guts to do it.
Anyways...hope you do not hate me for posting comments every day:))))
I'm happy that you're commenting on my postings, and I like to reply as well :-D
You're quite right about the pattern. It's really pity when one just sees one side of character of someone else and doesn't even try to see another side.
But even about patterns you can't always be sure that you're right in your opinion, more or less.
Anyway, probably it's not only lack of guts what makes people stop exploring. I personally don't know many people who want to go deeply into such thoughts. We have to admit it's a materialistic world we're living in and people tend to be interested in other things.
So it's very hard sometimes to meet people who are ready to show themselves to you - who they really are.
Sometimes I think it's not quite worth getting too much into this. When one starts showing more of himself or herself, people get "scared". They might say: who the hell is this one, I don't want to know philosophers. Hope I'm wrong. :)
Well, it is really sad that people are driven by materialistic motives, but unfortunately it is true. I also sometimes get scared how much I think about certain things, as I know that most of the people do not spare much thought on them...Well...and as for knowing philosophers - I think it is good to meet this people, yet, they might ot be "evrebody's favourites" as they are not so easy to understand by everyone:)
But if this is your path - keep going:)
You're quite right that people sometimes get misunderstood for these reasons by most of the others. However, I it also depends on the people who listen to you - if they have the same interests as you - then there could be long conversations ahead :)
I think that the problem is that people who don't understand this, doesn;t necessarily have to be right in their opinion and their attitude to be followed. The problem is that these people don't have/haven't developed enough/ the ability to understand different points of view. They don't realize, it's not noted in their minds to pay attention to this problem.
And I think it's everybody, not only "philosophers", that are difficult to be understood. If we could understand each other 100%...well, I can't even imagine what it could be :)
